Doesnt display correctly filenames with not english letters.

Postby V@no » Sat May 25, 2002 8:52 am

Hi!
it seems that this script cant correctly handle non english code. I'm using WinXP and have set in lenguage settings to use cyrillic coding for non standard letters. so, even though I changed the script to use ISO1251 coding it still shows 1252 codding on mp3 filenames.
but if I have a folder with russian codding name the script will show some mess in the its name, but after click it will show correctly name on the 'your location' tree: " mp3 main/russian/russian folder " it would be displayed correctly but not the LINKS in this folder.
hope u can understand what I'm trying to say.

actualy I use Windows1251 encoding for cyrillic.
and when I open source of the page the name in the link looks like this:

class="file">&Ograve;&aring;&otilde;&iacute;&icirc;&euml;&icirc;&atilde;&egrave;&yuml; - title - 01 - Track 01.mp3</span></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<span class="finfo">(32 kbit 35:07 mins)</span>

as u can see for some reason the script encode non english letters to & codes
">&Ograve;&aring;&otilde;&iacute;&icirc;&euml;&icirc;&atilde;&egrave;&yuml;

but I cant find where is the script encode it like this in the script.

I have just added russian you submitted to the language list with ISO-8859-5 as the charset.

Try download the last build and tell us if it works for you.

wow, it was fast!
but I found some misspell, but I cant correct it, because u included '$#' codes instead of just text.
but encoding is wrong, it should be 'windows-1251'.
and still it doesnt show correctly filenames with russian letters.
