Recursive function does not always work

Postby flux.i » Wed Jan 24, 2007 4:46 pm

Hi,

I have a strange problem: The "Recursive" playing function does not work in many subfolders of my music directory. For example, if I have an artist folder with 5 albums, only the files from the first one are added to the playlist. I thought it had something to do with file permissions but after setting these to 777 and the owner/group both to www-data, the result is the same! I don't know what could cause this behaviour...

Please help...

After relocating files or changing permissions, run a update. And make sure
the update runs without any issues. (Look in the report after it's finished.)

Still problems after running update..? Please specify build of kP.

Thank you for the quick answer.
When I run the update, it says: "Fetching database records: 2300/4236" Is this normal? Where do I find the report?

No, is not normal. Probably it doesen't have sufficient memory to complete
the update. Please read the post that it links to in the update.

Thank you very much! That did the trick.
I was pretty sure I raised the memory limit some time ago but I think I did that for gallery2 or some other script package.
Next time I think twice ;)

I run build 502 and am looking for the recursive play function...
It seems to have disappeared.
Even in the source there is no reference to the language variable 275 (contains recursive) anywhere.
Is this on purpose, e.g. was there a problem with the recursive add function?

Just select the folders you wish to play and click "play selected" (it is recursive)
